Why endings confuse so many players
On Steam’s No Mercy discussions, a recurring complaint is finishing on a “boring” or “fail” ending even after maxing affection. Forum players echo the same issue: raw love points are not enough. The game tracks parallel meters — most importantly Domination and Lust — and late chapters check how you balanced them.
Community reports (Steam threads + adult VN forums) describe roughly 5–6 major ending variations, plus at least one special “bad” outcome. Exact dialogue lines differ by build, so treat this as a route map, not a cheat sheet.
The two meters that matter
Domination
Choices that assert control, pressure, or power dynamics. Early-to-mid chapters often lean here if you want a harder, more forceful route.
Lust / Love
Seduction-leaning options and intimacy beats. Many players report shifting toward Lust after chapter 4 to unlock warmer finales.
Ending families players report
- Domination ending(s) — High control path. Some players mention Domination variants (e.g. Dom 1 / Dom 2) depending on how aggressively you pushed the meter.
- Lust / Love ending — High intimacy path. Often described as the more “romantic” or emotionally charged conclusion.
- Neither / mixed ending — If both meters stay low or conflicting, you can land a muted finale — the “boring end” Steam users complain about.
- Father-relationship variants — Whether you stay friendly with your father can branch the epilogue tone even on similar heroine routes.
- Special bad ending — Getting kicked out / forced to leave, with a twist some players call one of the wildest sequences in the game.
Practical route tips from player discussions
- Don’t rush the finale. Several Steam users said they soft-locked a weak ending by skipping dialogue and club / late-chapter scenes.
- Pick a lane, then pivot deliberately. One common strategy: lean Domination through early chapters, then prioritize Lust options after chapter 4.
- Late chapters seal the deal. Club and chapter 6–7 beats are repeatedly cited as the moment routes lock in.
- Save often. Timed choices and mutually exclusive options mean one chapter can close an ending forever.
- Walkthrough mods exist in the community (highlighting recommended choices). Use them only if you want maximum completion — spoilers guaranteed.
“I kept to dominance thru chapter 4, and then moved to all lust after chapter 4 and got the good ending… chapter 6 (at the club) that really sealed the deal.” — paraphrased from Steam General Discussions
How to use this with a first playthrough
If you want the authentic experience, play blind once, then reload chapter 4+ saves to chase alternate finales. Platinum / full completion hunters usually need multiple runs or a community multi-mod with cheat toggles to force endings in chapter 7.
